This website, farogl.com, is operated by FAR Oil & Gas Limited (“FAR”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Bangladesh with its head office in Banani, Dhaka. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

We only collect what we need to respond to you and to keep the website working well:

• Contact enquiries. When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number, company and the message you write.
• Job applications. If you apply for a role, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, contact details, preferred department, cover letter and any CV or certificates you send.
• Usage information. Through Google Analytics we receive general information about how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location (city or country), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This is not used to identify you personally.
• Technical information. Our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, such as IP address, date and time of the request and the page requested, to keep the site secure and running.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive information such as financial, health or national identity details.

• To reply to your enquiry and discuss our services with you.
• To assess job applications and contact candidates about roles.
• To understand which parts of the website are useful, and to improve it.
• To protect the website against misuse, fraud and security threats.
• To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

• Our group companies and staff who need it to respond to you or to process an application.
• Service providers that run the website for us, including hosting, data storage and analytics (Google). They act on our instructions and may process data on servers outside Bangladesh.
• Authorities, where the law requires us to.

The site uses a small number of cookies, mainly for Google Analytics and the embedded Google Map. Our Cookie Policy explains what each one does and how to turn them off.

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and for any follow-up business relationship. Applications are kept for up to two years so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Analytics data is kept in line with Google Analytics’ retention settings.

The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to submitted information is limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
• delete your information, where we are not required to keep it;
• stop contacting you.
